I'VE MISSED YOU
In a letter
I found among others I thought
I threw away along time ago,
I found some crumpled paper
From my first love.
In it
She asked me if
I've missed her.
Do I miss the sweet hiss
Of her kiss as her lips
Prepare for kisses
Before pen meets paper
Before ideas flicker
Before we become us
She asks if
The softness of freshly
Picked pussy willows
Are as delicate as her emotions
That are attached to being what
We are to one another softly saying
I miss you
She said I've missed
The youthful exuberance
In your penmanship
the
Rhythmic tone of your
Words
The way they slow danced
On rainbows resembling
Multicultural concepts of forever
And how I felt when you introduced
Yourself to me
Do miss this though?
Do you miss the sweet kiss
of building us up by
Placing pictures
on canvas eloquently verbally?
Did you think of me?
Did you remember what
I sounded like when I
was the whisper you
couldn't let go of
in your mouth?
Do you remember how I felt
Being told that this is
What is
and what it was
When it was me your
pen told stories to ?
So tell me
Do you miss me?
All of me
The pencil side
The spilled ink side
The emotional side
The anger
The history of droplets
That looks like us
staring somewhere
into forever verbally
Baby have you missed me?
Because I've missed
Us
I've missed you
I've missed this
It's a delicate balancing act
On a high wire
Missing you and
you missing me
Then she said
I'm just glad you're back
Because
I've missed you
With all my
Love , kisses and
All that it entails
&
I am going to Forever
Be Your Lady,
Baby.....I Am
Your Poetry.
