Be The Verse

Have you ever wanted to inspire

Someone to be the best version

Of themselves?

Be that spark that refused to lose

And lit the fuse to allow someone

To see how bright their presence

Really is in someone else's ?

Well if you’re that type of poet

Then be the verse

Be the verse

That rides the lines

In between each said word

That touches souls without fingertips

That reaches peoples personal goals

And souls

Create portraits of what

The wind looks like

As If you was riding it long enough

To see who you was supposed to be

And then just….. be

Ride the edges of rainbows

And write lines sharp enough

To break fountain pens

That will render pencils breakable

Be that part of the person

Who words captivate and motivate

People to the call of action

Be the verse

Be the dream your words

Manifested in the minds of those

Looking for something they couldn’t

Quite place their finger on

But knows what hope sounds like

Because they heard your poetry

Be the verse

Be the best parts of all those things

Given wings that soars across

Fainted wishes with the hopes and dreams of

What forever is supposed to sound like

When they hear it

When the heart beats fast enough to

To remind you that

The best is yet to come and about to manifest

Itself into something brighter than a Nova

Be the best verse

That someone will rewind in their mind

Time after time when

They are faced by challenges

They didn’t think they would

Over come

Before they heard that

One thing from you

When they heard your voice

And that one verse

Was that was killing me softly

And changed …. Everything In Me!
