we heard you say The most famous lines Of all mankind .... And while things aint The same There are those that still believe Let freedom rain How far we've come And how much farther Do we need to climb Because the gift of Our freedom has been compromised Like our lives are shorter Than a dime So tell me how does This freedom thing when Freedom Rings work When it still seems like The world in the eyes of Black people has gone beserk monthly deaths Of brothers and sisters Make the U.S. Look like a house of slaughter And to me it would seem Like all of these crimes are coincidentally unprosecutable and made to order But we want freedom to rain Where was the Freedom for Travon, Eric Gardner, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice And not a cop prosecuted And still we pay the price I will say this And its my wish that you dont Dismiss We all bear witness to What happenes when your Freedom means nothing To those who feel as if your Life dont matter When organized lies Get answered Even when they got his Murder on camera And yall got mad at Collin For not standing for that National Anthem Let freedom rain Im sure all King ever wanted Was for us to better off Than we ever was And with Obama in office That hope was alive And a community thought

We're free at last However the dream is over And there is a new point of view So now how does your freedom Look now When the next leader dont look Like either one of you I say push harder Because all lives matter And our existence shouldnt Be considered a stain Im just tired of People tryin to find New ways to ease the pain So come ride with me and get On this train What more do we have to gain They have already taken your name We are whats left after This country claims to Right the wrongs in its shame Freedom has to be taken Its never gonna be given And to think any less is lame Only after we live in Light of his vision Is when you can really say let Freedom Rain.
