My beloved Brothers

Question: Who are you and How are you? In case you have forgotten, let me remind you of how handsome you are, how your hands are so strong and powerful and creative, how they bring life to whatever you touch. Let me remind you of your facial features, rough but smooth and gentle when your sad or angry or crying or processing the next move to build and provide; your eyes, how brown or light but round they are when looking at the future and seeing the weight of life is on your shoulders but you persevere; your smile, that lights up a room even though inside there may be some pain but you push. Let me remind you of your built, how tall or short and cuddly and muscular you are to bring comfort to your children and soulmate-the security of knowing all is well or even just to be hugged and softly whisper “I got you.” Let me remind you of your feet, how one foot follows the other out of bed to face the world to provide for your family and this is done with no hesitation. Let me remind you of your faith, trusting, leaning, and being guided by God who is your creator and source to whom you look to for every decision you make. Let me remind you of your soul, your sense of humor, your steadfastness, your compassion for your community, for your voice that speaks so loudly for rightful justice, for your heart that’s so gentle but tries to be hard, for your intelligence, integrity and intellect to successfully build. Oh one more thing! let me remind you of the color of your skin, that my love will defines who you are, because you were created in the image of God you wear this beautiful shade that makes people wonder WHO ARE YOU?
